Extrinsic or intrinsic self-worth…

Do you want your child's self-worth coming from tuning inward or for them to seek it externally? A colleague expressed interest in The M.Y. Time Program training as a tool to use while raising her children. There are some outside influences that can be less than desirable and are readily available to distract us. It got me thinking about a world where families have a regular time to experience these activities together. Can you imagine breathing, warming up/down, doing poses, playing yoga games, practicing mindfulness, and resting as a family? A child’s school family is another great place to learn about strength coming from within.

Children typically take to this kind of program like magnets. It’s almost as if they were just waiting for someone to give them permission to slow down, learn how conscious breathing works, and to play around with movement. Oftentimes this is just the balance that is needed to put the fast paced way of life into a more manageable state.
